The jazzy romantic song "I Never Forgot" with words and music by singer-songwriter Frank Lamphere. "I Never Forgot" had many lyric and title changes before arriving at it's present state. The music was always in place; it was the "right" title that eluded Lamphere. In fact at the recording session the working title was "Skaboo Beebee Bueno Boo". It made sense as a whole, but fortunately Lamphere found new inspiration, after that first recording session. He came up with the new title and then completely rewrote the lyrics.
The song has to do with one who runs into a former flame. He reminisces and talks (seeing no wedding band on her finger) about a future that may hold promise for them. Frank drew lyrical inspiration from his own true life story of how he and his wife Daniela refound each other, while separated by an ocean and twelve years.
"I Never Forgot" includes tenor and trumpet solos by Eric Schneider and Art Davis.
"I Never Forgot" is featured prominently in the 2015 independent film "Theresa Is a Mother"
